From Odd Future to Golf Wang, Tyler really does kill it all.
OFWGKTA rapper Tyler, The Creator made the seamless transition from music to fashion as he staged his first ever runway show in Los Angeles on Saturday 11th June.
The collection, characterised by his signature Odd Future alias, is entitled Golf Wang 2016 and is as garish and eccentric as you would expect. It adopts an increasingly popular trend within the current fashion runway game, as each piece was made available to purchase through a pre-sale following the end of the show. The event went much like Kanye’s Yeezy Season 3 preview, as this event also premiered some new music courtesy of our very own, Tyler The Creator.
Golf Wang 2016 paid tribute to Tyler’s skater style and obscure aesthetic, featuring a range of light wash denim shorts, zebra print jackets and smiley face print socks, not to mention a skate ramp on stage. Tyler also took this opportunity to premiere an upcoming collaboration with Adidas, as well as a new sneaker range entitled Golf Le Fleur. A pair of the new kicks were given to each audience member as they left ‘the experience.’
