Combining function and fashion.
The two popular Deckers Brands’ footwear labels have come together for the first time to merge their signature styles into a small collection of shoes that combine the two brands’ best attributes. The result is a unisex line of shoes that feature Teva’s rubber tread soles and Velcro straps with UGG’s sheepskin upper and furry interior lining. Available for a limited time, the hope is that this collaboration will push both brands in the sartorial stakes. Wendy Yang, president of the performance lifestyle group at Deckers Brands explains, “Both brands have rich heritages on their own, so to have them as sister brands is really powerful. It’s a new point of relevance and will push the limits of the brands known for their iconic products.”
The sandals will be retailing at the price of $175 USD while the mid-calf style will be priced at $225 USD, and will be available from both UGG and Teva’s websites and at select UGG stores.
