Where? London Grind, 2 London Bridge, SE1 9RA

Location, location, location.  The address says it all with this one.  You can’t get much better.  Easily accessible via London transport, this espresso/cocktail bar-come-restaurant is right in the heart of the hustle and bustle.

Pop in for a quick pick me up, or settle down for the night with food and bevvies.  From the first step through the door, you feel the buzzing ambience, and are greeted by super friendly staff (who actually really like their job; you can just tell!).  With the chirpy waiters advice, it’s easy to make your menu choices, and even easier for him to convince you to stay for ‘one more drink’.

The food menu is top notch; sharing plates, or mains.  PAUSE recommends the king prawns; so full of flavour, and just perfect to be honest!  But don’t forget, they have dessert options too.  You won’t want to miss the apple crumble; wash it down with an espresso martini!

Best time to go?  Anytime.  No really!  Whether it be pre-night out for cocktails, a quiet date night, or afternoon coffee with Mum, hitting Grind fits any occasion.

Bit of trivia: They have Italian lessons playing through the speakers in the toilets, which is hilariously entertaining!

Don’t fancy alcohol?  You can go in, simply for a coffee; it’s worth it.  And if you didn’t know, London Grind is part of a chain, so you can pass by one of their sister branches when you’re on your travels around the City (e.g. Covent Garden, Holborn, Shoreditch).
