When high-fashion labels meet sportswear.
F/W 16 is going to see the second release from the Y-3 sub-division, since the label debuted back in SS16. Y-3 Sport is an ongoing collaboration between Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto that primarily focuses on performance sports, with a luxurious twist. The collection is an amass of black clothing, footwear and accessories; Y-3 Sport has every base covered this season. Pieces that stood out for us include the unisex Waterproof Parka, insulated Wool Jacket and the reflective Approach sneaker. The collection has been designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and keep you insulated during performance: thermo-insulation, merino knitting and two-layer bonded wools all feature throughout. The collection also sees the announcement of a new, weather adapted, version of the Y-3 Sport Approach: seeing a choice of BOOST technology or a boot-like-sole.
The Fall/Winter 2016 is expected to release October 18th at Y-3 online and select retailers.
