When Douglas and Susie Tompkins established The North Face as a San Francisco-based climbing equipment shop back in 1966, I doubt they ever thought the brand would have evolved into the outdoor empire it is today. Yet half a century later, here we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the brand.

To commemorate the occasion, The North Face have created a special capsule collection in line with its Japanese PURPLE LABEL. The exclusive line will feature down sweaters, leather backpacks and leather Base Camp Moccasins, all in classic black and white colourways. Rounding out the limited edition range is a custom bandana that references the label’s Californian roots.

Get your hands on a piece of the limited edition PURPLE LABEL capsule collection either online or from nanamica locations from 18th November. Prices range from ?34,000 JPY (approximately £250) to ?46,000 JPY (approximately £338).
