The suiting specialists took things to a more casual place for Autumn/Winter 2017, after noticing the relaxed way in which the younger generation are styling their two pieces. “I like the sneaker-and-suit combination myself, and often wear a suit with a T-shirt. For this collection, I looked at traditional British tailoring for a slightly sharper, cleaner cut than Tiger of Sweden has done in the past. And it needed to feel good on. I wanted to get the trousers as comfortable as pyjamas,” explained designer Andreas Gran.
This season sees Tiger of Sweden’s silhouettes become much cleaner, with sharper shoulders, slightly accentuated waists and a longer line, with wool and cashmere dominating the textiles. But the styling has been modernised to suit the new generation who embrace the suit but in a non-conservative way.
