90’s Revival.
After their extremely hyped collaboration with Gosha Rubchinskiy, Kappa have released their Spring/Summer 2017 campaign by New York-based creative firm con.cept. Shot on the streets of New York City including basketball courts, playgrounds, stoops, bodegas and laundromats, this campaign focuses heavily on youth culture as we see young models hanging out together. 90’s nostalgia is heavy throughout with a focus on Kappa’s infamous tracksuits, retro sunglasses and Nike Sneakers. Key pieces from this collection include a red tracksuit with a black and white side stripe featuring the brand’s ”Omini” logo and womens popper pants.
The con.cept stated that ”Kappa is not mainstream and isn’t trying to be; it’s one of the special few that live in the space between sport, music art & culture.”
