Gucci goes back to its roots for its Cruise 2018 collection.


It’s here. The new Gucci styles which are inspired by Milan’s Renaissance Period.

On May 29th, 2017, Alessandro Michele, the creative director for Gucci revealed the new Gucci Cruise 2018 collection for men and women at the famous Palazzo Pitti in Florence. The collection is named “Antiantamony” was to show the “heart and soul of Gucci’s origins,” with the iconic Gucci GG print reinstalled back to life.

During the show musician, Dev Hynes took over the Gucci’s Instagram Stories, whilst guests were seated on striped canvas seats, engraved with “Bacchus’ Song,” a reference to a poem written by Lorenzo de’ Medici, who lead the Florentine Republic during the 1400s.

It was clear, history was a part of the highlight for this Cruise collection, taking a look at how far Gucci has come, and how it has resurrected into today’s generation.
