Fusing Cult Status With Wool.
London based menswear label Cottweiler have released their International Woolmark Prize collection at L’Eclaireu, bringing the brands fetish-infused cult and tribes codes into the world of wool, with utilitarian detailing at its core. Cottweiler will receive $100,000 to support the development of their business as well as ongoing industry mentor support, Woolmark certification for their winning collection and the opportunity to be stocked in some of the world’s most prestigious department stores and boutiques.
Matthew Dainty from Cottweiler stated “we underestimated the amount of exposure it would give us to such a wide and different audience to what we’re used to. The amount of press it has gained has been incredible for us, and to happen on a global level, this huge amount of interest – because it’s such a prestigious prize and because of the setting at Palais de Tokyo – is incredible.”
