Hackney's very own Desen-Proje's 2018 Collection 1 Lookbook
Engin Sukru Mehmet is the Hackney born and raised Creative Director and Founder of Desen-Proje (which is Turkish for ‘Design Project’). His first Collection, simply entitled ‘Collection 1’, is a vintage inspired compilation of neutral colours, oversized fits and everyday essentials.
In the making of his collection, he concentrated on the importance of the fit of the clothes, as he says ‘I would really like a bomber jacket but it would either fit too tight or too long in the body, it would never fit the way I imagined it to fit.’ Mehmet defines his collection as ‘luxury streetwear’, and we definitely agree.
Collection 1 will be available from January 2018, and will be made to order.
