Serving up authentic Italian fare in a laidback, inviting setting; Pasta Remoli in Finsbury Park walks the tricky tightrope between the ideal work lunch location and that cosy local spot for casual dinner with friends.
Founded by Simone Remoli, the Italian native spent years curating delicious recipes from family members and the London restaurant scene, working in well-known hotspots Roka, Robata and Barrafina to name a few.
Uninspired by the quality of pasta available, he began to develop his own recipe for fresh, well-made alternative which he then sold on to the capital’s top Italian restaurants.
Shortly after, Simone was approached regards launching his own location and Pasta Remoli was born. First opening their doors in Westfield Stratford in 2011, the unfussy, affordable and charming nature of the Italian eatery quickly captured the attention of ravenous shoppers and has resulted in, not only the expansion of the menu, but the opening of their new Finsbury Park location with plans for more in the near future.
Initially launching with a choice of three kinds of pasta, three sauces and one type of cheese for topping; Diners can now choose from a mouthwatering variety of seven different pastas, five filled options, around 14 different sauces and five types of cheese, alongside an appetizing range of antipasti to complement the main selection.
Straightforward in its concept, diners simply choose a variety of pasta, followed by a sauce, then cheese of choice. With weekly specials, a delectable range of small plates, side dishes and exquisite desserts – there’s no shortage of options, even for the most particular among us.
Complemented by an expansive selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails; the inviting eatery lends itself well to a relaxed dinner with friends or date night without breaking the bank.
Throw in the genuinely charming nature of the staff and we may have just found our new go-to for the ever important pasta fix.
