Whats that sneaker? Margiela?
Maison Margiela presented their first menswear collection under the direction of John Galliano at last week’s Paris fashion week men’s Autumn/Winter ’18. Notably, the French fashion house debuted a brand new sneaker silhouette dubbed the ‘Security Margiela’. The trainer, inspired by security worker’s footwear, debuted in red, blue and yellow colour ways.
Essentially using black and white, with a primary colour pigment to add vibrancy to the sneaker, the Security Margiela has an almost retro appearance about it. The up-to-the-minute chunky rubber sole combined with suede materials and a pure white upper makes for an eye-catching shoe, the perfect remedy to revitalise Maison Margiela in the current menswear market.
The Security Margiela is rumoured to drop this summer.
