After announcing a new collaboration with legendary fashion house Vivianne Westwood, Ricardo Tisci looks to be set to shift the paradigm in the fashion world with the new announcement from Burberry.
With Tisci at the helm, Burberry is taking a leaf out of the streetwear bible and launching an exclusive drop release strategy for Ricardo Tisci’s debut collection. The new strategy will be implemented to release as a series of limited edition pieces designed by Tisci’, who was the Creative Director of Givenchy before his move to the iconic British fashion house.
Hoping to build a similar sense of excitement and connection to garments that surrounds streetwear drops, this new release strategy includes unique products and a stream of release that will follow runway shows. It is clear Ricardo Tisci looking to appeal to a younger consumer as he appears to be establishing a “streetwear” culture and edge at Burberry.
Burberry’s reimagined exclusive drops release strategy is set to launch in September, just before the fashion house’s Spring 2019 showing at London Fashion Week.
