CDLP recently announced the launch of their new “CDLP SWIMWEAR 18” capsule with an exclusive campaign fronted by travel expert and social media maven Jay Alvarrez, whose youthful spirit and timeless joie de vivre deliver the inaugural swim collection. Alvarrez is the latest chapter in the CDPL world of ‘intellectual masculinity’, which describes the labels core philosophy that champions multi-dimensional personas over standardized physicality.
On a mission to perfect the male base layer, CDLP combines Swedish with Portuguese craftsmanship ultimately creating a sophisticated aesthetic and effortless style. The ‘CDLP SWIMWEAR 18’ campaign is shot in Ibiza by co-founder and filmmaker Christian Larson. Inspired by the sands and rocks of the Balearic coastline, the exclusive 3 pieces capsule includes £160 hero Pool Shorts which appear in a luxurious black velvet fabric and are highly limited, with only 50 pieces available online. Also part of the capsule is a deluxe army green and black nylon Swim Short for £110. Both styles feature an adjustable drawstring waistband, a back pocket and custom rubber drying-hook.
Speaking on the campaign, Christian Larson, co-founder and Creative Director explained, “The nylon Swim Shorts are the quintessential garment for water-related activity, whereas the velvet Pool Shorts are a refined alternative for any light-dressed endeavours around a pool… Having Jay front our debut swim collection was a sublime fit – he is akin to a walking “endless summer” and a timeless, water gentleman.”
