Following from the spring/summer 2019 season’s appearance by Craig Green and Roberto Cavalli, Pitti Uomo has just announced Y/Project‘s Glenn Mertens to be the first guest designer of their autumn/winter 2019 schedule.
Speaking on the news, Pitti’s director of communications and special events Lapo Cianchi elaborated,
“Glenn Martens has created with Y/Project a new aesthetic language that is driven by contradictions, in which chic is combined with extravagance and eclectic references, a designer who expresses an acute sense of humour, with a vision of fashion that is extremely personal”
Following this announcement, it was also revealed that Y/Project will not show its next collection at Paris Fashion Week.
