Once again pulling from each other’s design codes and DNA, adidas and Yohji Yamamoto are back with another Y-3 AW19 collection made up of timeless pieces and innovative footwear.
Inspired by each other’s histories, the latest collaborative collection features a range of apparel and accessories that are informed by the ’70s, ’80s and the ’90s, with Yamamoto editing, altering, adapting and reimagining silhouettes, colours and fabrics with classic Y-3 design elements. A nod to multipurpose knitwear and layering, the range sees minimalist technical knits, pants, and sweaters all in black and white hues with contrasting monochrome stacked logo motifs.
The drop also features new footwear options, in the form of the durable Y-3 Kyoi Trail, a reinterpretation of the trail runner sneaker that features breathable mesh interiors, a thick collar, enhanced tongue and the Yohji Yamamoto signature on the lateral sides.
Available now, you can pick up the Y-3 Autumn/Winter 2019 collection in flagship stores and online. See pieces of the collection in the images below:
