Helmut Lang Takes To New York City For New AW20 Campaign

By February 12, 2020Fashion News

In the big apple.

Taking to the streets of New York City, Helmut Lang tapped photographer Sunil Gupta to highlight the classic brand’s Autumn/Winter 2020 collection during this year’s New York Fashion Week.

Bypassing the traditional show or presentation, the fashion house cemented that their clothes are not just for the runway, as models took to the concrete streets of the Big Apple adorned in the new pieces from Helmut Lang. Spotlighting the genderfluid collection against the gritty streets of New York which also served as the backdrop for the Stonewall Riots: a protest which spurred the gay rights movement, the latest offering from the fashion house features sheer turtlenecks, dark blue jackets, an assortment of jeans and scorpion-emblazoned bottoms, suede coats and a range of blazers – all designers with the house’s signature minimal and unisex aesthetic.
