Fashion Aid.
The latest in a slew of labels to provide funds, factories or aid in other means to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic, Gucci recently announced plans to donate €2 million euro to support both local and global aid initiatives.
Splitting the donation into two €1 million parts, half will go to the Italian Civil Protection Department who will allocate money to the country’s health services and crisis management organizations with the other half going to the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund who support WHO with tracking and understanding the virus and developing vaccines. Commenting on the donation, Alessandro Michele said;
“Gucci has created a world, open and free: a Gucci global community. We ask all of you to be the changemakers in this crisis, to stand together with us in the fight against the Coronavirus. We are all in this together,”
