By April 28, 2020Fashion News

The luxury sector unites.

More than 80 luxury labels have grouped together for an auction in which the proceeds will go towards #ProtegeTonSoignant, a french organisation who equips healthcare workers with supplies.

All pieces from the auction will have a starting price of €100 (approximately £87) and include exclusive pieces from brands such as Chanel, Celine, Dior and Comme Des Garcons, who have all agreed to either customise a piece from their archive or create something new for the auction. The only rule is that all the products must reference the eletctric blue colour of #ProtegeTonSoignant.

This is another example of fashion uniting in the face of adversity and using its resources to aid the fight against Covid-19. At a time when the fashion industry is struggling with the financial hit of a pandemic, luxury brands like Ralph Lauren, Burberry and Louis Vuitton are producing important medical garments and making large donations.

To be in with a chance of purchasing some exclusive pieces, the auction begins online on the La Mode S’Engage website on May 1 at 12 p.m. CET and will commence on May 4 at 11.59 p.m.
