Nigerian-British fashion designer Tokyo James recently unveiled the first images of his pending spring/summer 2021 collection titled PASSCODE.
Inspired by the duality between the male youth of Nigeria and Britain, notably the former’s “Area Boys” and the “Pretty Boys” of the UK, the resulting collection offers up a juxtaposed perspective of both harder and softer materials used to symbolise each. Comprising a varied assemblage of wares, the likes of sequins and delicate pink prints sit alongside more robust leathers and vinyl options making for a statement-piece sourcing selection for all tastes.
Check out some shots of what’s to come below and stay tuned to PAUSE for more info as it releases.
