Having built a reputation amongst tastemakers for its elegant designs, Japanese label AURALEE presented a minimal vision for the future summer season. Loose tailoring creates a casual mood which is elevated by a strong palette of purples, greens, blues and oranges that looked perfect for enjoying the sun in.
Designer Ryota Iwai was thinking of escapism when producing this collection, saying “Working in conditions where the privileges of everyday life had disappeared, I found myself thinking of where I would like to travel had circumstances allowed.”
Beyond the clothing, that theme is translated in the video which the brand released for this season. Much of it is set in the outdoors, from the seaside to green fields, nature is focused on as models express themselves in the garments.
