Bella Hadid Befriends a Panther for Burberry’s Pocket Bag Campaign

Part of Tisci's animal kingdom.

Animals are a theme that Creative Director Riccardo Tisci and Burberry’s founder Thomas Burberry find common ground in. A consistent motif in Tisci’s work, he has created his own animal kingdom whilst at the British label, inspired partly by the design for its original emblem which presented a knight on a horse. For its first-ever bag campaign, a panther was chosen as the animal to join Bella Hadid in the photoshoot.

Shot by Inez and Vinoodh, the superstar model climbs onto a model of the big cat while clutching her Burberry pocket bag, or casually slinging it over her shoulder. The bag takes inspiration from the brand’s archive and features a rectangular design, with a large pocket of the same shape protruding from the front and an ovoid handle carved into its top.

Speaking on the campaign, Bella Hadid said “‘I absolutely loved shooting this campaign, letting my inner animal spirit run free! We had so much fun on set, the mood was really sultry and playful, I felt we were really capturing that feline energy and power. This is my second campaign for Burberry and it is always such an exciting experience working with Riccardo – he has such amazing creative ideas and ways of interpreting a collection.’

Available in a range of sizes, colourways and materials, the bag is available to shop now from Burberry stores globally and online.
