Year of the Ox.
Perpetuating the now popularised approach of rolling out capsule collections in celebration of Chinese New Year, British label Burberry recently debuted their offering’s accompanying campaign starring Zhou Dongyu and Song Weilong.
Directed by Derek Tsang, the short film starring the aforementioned Burberry ambassadors dubbed ‘A New Awakening’ presents the duo as they embark on a journey of discovery and renewal while highlighting the house’s heritage of exploration and the outdoors. Speaking on the release, Riccardo Tisci, Burberry Chief Creative Officer commented;
“I have always found inspiration in nature and its energy. This film really represents our connection as humans to the outside world and the journeys we take in life, always discovering new things in both our environment and also in ourselves. I truly believe in renaissance: rebirth and new beginnings. For the new year, I think we all want to find love, balance, strength and hope – this is the real beauty in life.”
