PAUSE Picks: 5 Sneaker Releases Of The Week

Raf Simons Cylon 21 PU

Bearing a resemblance to the Response Trail sneaker he released with Adidas in 2015, Raf Simons is reminding everyone who started the “ugly sneaker trend” with this latest shoe. The sneaker features pink bubbles protruding from the suede and leather off-white upper along with an interchangeable TPU heel piece.

Asics X Awake NY Grey Gel-Preleus

Coming in a silver colourway that is exuding serious retro vibes, Asics has enlisted the services of streetwear label Awake NY for its latest release. The Gel-Preleus sneaker includes gel cushioning technology which the Japanese active-wear brand is renowned for and is decorated with snake-print panels.

Converse X Kim Jones All Star Hi 70 S

The sequel to his Nike Air Max 95 collaboration that released a few weeks back, Kim Jones has collaborated on another sneaker. This time around, the artistic director of Dior Mens and Fendi womenswear and couture chose to personalise the Converse All Star 70 with a wavy exaggerated midsole and transparent panels.

Nike Air Max 97

The iconic Air Max 97 is given colourful new details as its air unit is produced in multiple hues, along with multi-coloured eyelets and branding that act as a contract from its all-grey upper.

New Balance 1500

In time for the summer, New Balance has given its classic 1500 sneaker model an all-white upgrade. The clean colourway features tonal grey branding and details to produce a monochrome shoe that is calling out for some sunshine.
