By May 7, 2021Music

It's the first week of May and we've already been graced with a breathtaking amount of music releases. Deep dive into our freshest selection of new music this Friday as we offer you the latest tracks you need in your rotation.

ISAIAH RASHAD ft. DUKE DEUCE – LAY WIT YA

Perhaps the most anticipated artist at the moment, TDE’s Isaiah Rashad has blessed us with a brand new single after a 5-year music hiatus.  Stripped from his long-awaited, forthcoming album set to release in the coming months, single ‘Lay Wit Ya’ features Duke Deuce and garners inspiration from Rashad’s favourite author Stephen King. Reminding us of his artistic capabilities in bars, hooks and use of wordplay, Rashad accompanies the menacing instrumental in ways we could have only wished for. He’s back!

THE FANATIX ft. M1LLIONZ and POPCAAN – THESE STREETS (DON’T LUV U)

International producers The Fanatix has tapped M1llionz and Popcaan for a brand new track titled ‘These Streets’. Brum rapper M1llionz trades bars alongside Jamaican superstar Popcaan as they spit over the iconic sampled-instrumental ‘These Streets’ by Tanya Stephens.

TOOSII ft. DABABY – SHOP

Amid the release of his anticipated project ‘Thankyou for Believing‘, Syracuse-born artist Toosii has also released a brand new visual offering for his single ‘Shop’ featuring DaBaby. Exhibiting their joint confidence on the mic, the two label-buddies show off their lavish lifestyle by taking over a Caribbean-themed party night in a Miami nightclub.

JULS ft. TAY IWAR AND PROJEXX – CHANCE

British-Ghanaian artist Juls has unveiled a brand new single entitled ‘Chance’ which features both Projexx and Tay Iwar. The newly-dropped single is a taster of his forthcoming album which is set to drop in the summer. Blending a multitude of soundscapes, ‘Chance’ explores Reggae, Dancehall and RnB.

J COLE – I N T E R L U D E

A continuation of the successful week of drops the hip-hop world has been waiting for, J Cole has released an impromptu single ‘I n t e r l u d e’ taken from his newly-announced forthcoming album ‘The Off Season‘. The album follows Cole’s 2018 ‘KOD’ – taking to social media to inform fans that he initially wanted to drop the project all at once, he quoted: “Sometimes you gotta say f*ck it tho.”

FEUX ft. ASHBECK – CLOUD NINE

Amidst the hype of London-based rapper Feux’s introspective EP ‘Dubious‘, comes the lead single ‘Cloud Nine’ featuring Ashbeck. In what is considered a dreamy and uplifting collaboration from the underground, Feux’s 6-track EP uses his musical dexterity to explore the intricate stages of growth, particularly in adulthood and with circumstance.

BETWEEN FRIENDS – LONELY

LA-residing brother and sister duo ‘Between Friends’ have unveiled their new single ‘Lonely’. Gearing up to share their full album this summer, their latest effort exhibits their artistic flair – in which the single toys on the notion of entering a void of emptiness, gliding among a hypnotic bassline.

JIMOTHY LACOSTE – DESCRIBE MY LIFE

Jimothy Lacoste is back and it seems for good. Gearing up for the release of his new EP, set to release in May, the ‘DIY Brit Rap King’ is now stepping into a different musical direction in order to cement his position within the garage and house-pop scene, starting off with the lead single dubbed ‘Describe My Life’.
