By May 21, 2021Music

Welcome to Friday. Deep dive into our freshest selection of new music this Friday as we offer you the latest tracks you need in your rotation.

J COLE – A M A R I

J. Cole has shared a new visual for “Amari”, taken from his newly released album ‘The Off-Season’. The second track from the album is produced by Cole, T-Minus, Sucuki and Timbaland – a sonic dedication to Dreamville Manager Ibrahim Hamad’s son, Amari. The creatively-driven concept directed by fellow Dreamville associate Mez for Heirs sees Cole in a helicopter, before rapping in front of the fire in well-suited clothing.

TEEZANDOS fr. MIDAS THE JAGABAN – PAGE 45

At just 18-years of age, East London Drill rapper Teezandos is among one of many exciting, emerging young talents. Joining Midas The Jagaban for their brand new collaborative single ‘Page 45’, the dynamic duo shares their flow back-to-back, further defining their stance within the new wave of British rap.

CHIEDU ORAKA – AVE LIFE

Hull-residing artist Chiedu Oraka has come through with his brand-new single titled ‘Ave Life’ – ahead of his 7-track EP due to drop this summer. Lacing unrestrained lyrics over a laidback production, Oraka sonically speaks on his council-estate upbringing and childhood, providing a declaration of pride in where he comes from.

KAI KWASI – UNT

At just 21-years-old, Kai Kwasi brings an amazing, artistic approach to his debut single ‘Unt’. As a producer, songwriter and creative, Kai acquires a visual approach to his sound, accompanied by an equally inventive visual shot in an abandoned London Flat. Having spent the last 4 years honing his craft, Kai is ready to share his dexterity with the world, far and beyond his usual four walls.

EMI WES – TAKE ME TO THE MOON

Yearning for a form of escapism? Look no further as Soul-infused single ‘Take Me To The Moon’ sees songstress Emi Wes prepare her listeners for blast off. Written by renowned Danish producer Robin Hannibal, Emi describes the concept of the track as a very short fling where you just want to have fun whilst it lasts.

GUVNA B ft. D DOUBLE E – VERY ORIGINAL

Amidst the release of Guvna B’s Black Edition Deluxe album ‘Everywhere + Nowhere‘ comes the lead-single dubbed ‘Very Original’ featuring Grime veteran D Double E. Marking a full-circle moment for Guvna, as he recalls listening to D Double during his developmental years, the single is inspired by a chapter in his own book. Delving into topics and the damaging reality of negative stereotypes, the single provides just one segment of the artist’s creative and complex capabilities.

MERIDIAN DAN ft. JME and PRESIDENT T – TEACHERS PETS

Meridian Dan is back, gracing us with a brand new single titled ‘Teachers Pets’ featuring fellow Grime pioneers JME and President T. Courtesy of renowned producer Sir Spyro on the buttons, Meridian Dan hops onto the bouncing single with a balanced nostalgic yet fresh approach to his acclaimed sound. Who better than Meridian Crew originals JME and PREZ for this comeback single? Providing a vibe like no other.

CITY GIRLS – TWEKULATOR

Considered Hip-hop’s most notorious female duo, City Girls are back with a highly-anticipated drop ‘Twerkulator’. Unapologetically created in true City Girls-style, the club-prepared anthem showcases the duos witty confidence over an 80’s classic sample ‘Planet Rock’ by Afrika Bambaataa. Accompanied by a brand-new visualizer, the single had already accumulated an anticipated run after a snippet of the track featured on over 1.2M+ creates on Tik-Tok.

23 UNOFFICIAL – MANY

Ahead of the announcement of his new EP, 23 Unofficial has had a successful year of drops thus far. After gaining a positive response from his singles prior, his latest single ‘Many’ is among the two featured on his EP. Joined by a host of star-studded collaborators, 23 Unofficial boasts a variety of sonic styles within the body of work, from RnB to Afroswing – epitomizing his versatility as an artist.
