Dior X Cactus Jack.
No stranger to collaborations, Kim Jones has enlisted several creative figures from Daniel Arsham to Matthew Williams to work with since being hired as Artistic Director for Dior Men’s. The announcement that he will be working with musician Travis Scott for the brand’s Summer 2022 collection still comes as a surprise, however.
Scott has built a reputation in fashion for his uber-hyped Nike sneaker collaboration along with regular merch releases under the Cactus Jack label. How this will translate into designing with a French luxury house is an intriguing prospect.
Having been spotted wearing a never-seen-before brown suede set recently, the rapper may have given us the first insight into how the collection will look. With brown being a hue that features consistently across the artist’s fashion endeavours, we can expect a lot more of it to come.
The Dior Summer 2022 men’s collection will be presented in Paris on June 25, 2:30 p.m. CEST on Dior’s website.
