Nike reimagines its Air Max 95 using Sustainable Practices

Replacing Air Max branding with a leaf.

In its continued effort to be carbon neutral, Nike has launched a more sustainable version of its Air Max 95 model.

The signature sneaker has been created using a cork formula, natural dyes and at least 20% recycled materials. Available in two colourways, “Coconut Milk” and “Obsidian Wheat/Blue”, the former features a range of brown hues across the upper while the latter contrasts cork-textured panel with a navy blue upper. Both pairs include a leaf motif embroidered on the tongue, alongside the text “fig 5. Cork,” referencing the natural world which this sneaker is inspired by.
