PAUSE Picks: 5 Sneaker Releases of the Week

SOULGOODS continues with its running concept of, “From Beijing To The World,” by collaborating with Converse on a pair of Jack Purcell sneakers. The shoes pay tribute to Chinese culture by forefronting the brand’s tiger logo, a symbol of positive energy in the East Asian country.

Following the blue release of this sneaker, Skepta has blessed fans with a second, red colourway. The limited-edition release, which has a butterfly-inspired design on the upper is not expected to sit on shelves for long.

Two experts in creating utilitarian, practical products, and Wander has come together with Salomon to create a pair of sneakers. Created for trail running, the all-black shoes come with a waterproof upper, Contagrip rubber sole and reflective detailing, perfect for nature and urban exploration.

The checkerboard pattern is synonymous with Vans, a staple motif that is used across the brand. Something that we weren’t expecting was for the American company to recreate it in sherpa for the outside of a shoe.

It might be because the Euros have just started, but the black, red and gold colour paring on the side of these sneakers is bringing back memories of that classic 1990 Germany shirt. A colour combination that is a proven winner, it features on the first-ever Air Max sneaker to include two visible Air units.
