PAUSE Picks: 5 Sneaker Releases of the Week

Dunk High 1985 SP

Having introduced the Nike Dunk High 1985 in the form of an Undercover collaboration, the sneaker has been given an acid wash update. Mixing black and white acid wash against a buttermilk brown base, the Nike Dunk continues to be the sneaker of the moment.

1017 ALYX 9SM Mono Mule

Due to the platform midsole, I am counting this shoe as a sneaker-mule hybrid, warranting its place on this sneaker release roundup. Including a backless design with a 100% leather upper, Alyx is continuing to experiment with the mule shape it has featured in recent seasons.

PLEASURES X Reebok Club C 85

Printed on the tongue of this sneaker is, “Creating wearable statements for an uncertain future,” and PLEASURES has fulfilled this mantra with its Reebok collaboration. Using CORDURA’s hard-wearing fabric in black for the upper, this is contrasted with pine green suede panels.

Nike Air Max 95

A signature Nike sneaker that has remained a staple since the 90s, the Air Max 95 has been given a Japan-inspired colourway. Mixing a monochrome pallet of white, grey and black, hits of red detailing across the shoe make it stand out.

OAMC Inflate Pimsole

Adding its own spin to the classic plimsoll sneaker, this off-white sneaker is upgraded through its split, platform midsole. With the back platform coming in a contrasting green, this shoe is an exercise in minimalist design.
