PAUSE Picks: 5 Sneaker Releases of the Week

After launching with a Casablanca collaboration, New Balance’s latest sneaker model is given a multi-coloured variation. Blending blue hues on the upper, a yellow stripe runs from the sole to the top of the shoe, matching the colour of the tongue and coming in between a brown and black split-colour sole.

Although we do not recommend skating in these sneakers, they are certainly reminiscent of the bulky skate sneakers that dominated the 90s. Coming with a brown calf leather upper, this pair of red bottom sneakers feature a translucent rubber that covers the midsole and spills onto the upper.

Seeing how Rick Owens DRKSHDW will interpret its signature sneaker each season is always an interesting sport and this season sees the brand go for zebra-style stripes. Using organic cotton on the upper, a rubber toe cap, midsole and shark-grooved outsole come in a contrasting off-white.

The mule continues to be one of fashion’s favourite footwear styles and the latest pair to drop onto the market comes from CAMPERLAB. The all-white shoe features a vulcanised leather upper along with a functional strap that sits on top of a chunky tread sole.

Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s signature shoes have built a cult following for their dishevelled look which deconstructs the concept of keeping your sneakers in box-fresh condition. Coming in a host of colourways, this latest variation includes a black and white diamond print on the upper and off-white midsole.
