Stand Tall with Shaqir.
The latest in a long line of collaborative drops, British fashion giant boohooMAN recently debuted their latest partnered release, this time around teaming up with American athlete Shaqir O’Neal for a new ‘Tall Range’ edit.
While best known for being the son of former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, the 18-year-old rising star has begun forging his own path in the realm of college basketball playing for Texas Southern and now, dabbling in the world of fashion. Spanning a slew of wares from the retailer’s line suited to those above average height, the likes of graphic tees, bold prints, faux leather and puffer coats arrive in a mainly earthy, tonal colour palette – which is further complemented by the accompanying campaign. Speaking on the release, Shaqir commented:
“I got to choose pieces that were personal and quality for people my size. There are definitely a few statement pieces in the collection, like the jacket, and that’s what I want to do this year. I want to make a name for myself in basketball and in fashion. It’s a new era of college sports and I wanted to show how NIL athletes can get opportunities in fashion too. This shoot with boohooMAN was a good way to do something creative and take things to the next level. I’m excited for everyone to see this collection!”
