Eugy Talks Second EP Release, London & more @ Headline Show

By December 21, 2021Music
“As an artist, where you come from (in terms of where you live) is important to connect with. I’ve lived in London since I was 7 years old, so this is what is home to me, and it’s a milestone to perform here because of this reason. Once you’re able to lock down a show at home and get people to support you then you can take on the rest of the world. For me it was nice to finally get to do my first headline show in London, and not only to do it but to sell it out, to have my actual fans that bought tickets to come see me, it’s very motivating more than anything else. If you ever want a sign that what you’re doing is right and you’re on the right track, usually the first headline show at home is the most important one.
Tied with dropping the Home Run EP on 10th December, we just wanted to hit the ground running and come at it from all angles. I’ve done an EP before but this is the second EP I’ve ever released, so it makes sense for me to put on a live show. It was more of a celebration than a show; getting all the core fans in one place, seeing all their faces, them getting to see me, going through all the back catalogue of songs that I’ve got, some being popular and their favourite songs. It was good for me to see the love that I have. As an artist you can get demotivated and you feel like what you’re doing isn’t working and that people aren’t listening. Until you do your headline show, and you have like 300-350 people in the venue all there to see you and to sing along to your songs… I can’t complain! It was a blessing and it was a big motivation for me to do.”
