Japanese denim brand KAPITAL has announced a range of pieces from their upcoming online ‘KOUNTRY’ pop-up for Spring/Summer 2022.
Filled with the most vibrant and off the wall patterns and materials, this collection fuses Japanese streetwear with a flavour of Y2k, honing in on oversized pieces and simple graphic designs. The colour palette of the collection stays muted, often saying with camouflage patterns made up of darker greens, browns, and blues.
In this offering, no two pieces are the same, with the brand focusing on reconstructing simple pieces to give each of them an individual shape. As seen below, their take on a hoodie is simple in its colour palette but unique in its shape, as the hoodie’s raised necklace funnels the neck. The all-camouflage look also reconstructs shape, with a lowered vest acting as a reversed crop as it exposes the model’s chest.
