Bieber and Balenciaga are here to stay.
Balenciaga’s latest campaign shots include a range of people within pop culture, from Kim Kardashian to Tommy Blue, but pop sensation Justin Bieber proves to be the standout as he unveils the latest Balenciaga Defender sneakers.
Having debuted with Balenciaga back in 2021, Justin Bieber’s affection is evident having been papped time and again in everything Balenciaga. This latest campaign sees Bieber don a pair of oversized ripped jeans with an elongated branded belt, a tight-fitting Balenciaga branded t-shirt, and most notably the Balenciaga Defender sneakers in a distressed off white colourway.
Aesthetically, the shoe is inspired by tires and this comes through its rounded rubber toe that is covered in small round sole markings, a feature of the shoe that remains consistent as these markings blend into the upper as well. Rubber and mesh combine for the upper with an added dirtied look, forming a vintage and pre-owned aesthetic.
The Balenciaga Defender sneakers are expected to release online and in-store on March 1st.
