Out with the old, in with the new.
London-based brand ZILVER has unveiled their Spring/Summer 2022 range alongside the opening of its new flagship store in Soho, London.
Pedro Lourenço’s sustainable label has opened its doors for the public, having unveiled its new store on February 21st. The space itself looks to echo the brand’s ethos, opting for sustainability as ZILVER include a living garden at the exterior of the store for a boost of carbon dioxide, with recycled aluminium columns framing the entrance door. The recycling doesn’t stop there, as the store also upcycled a kitchen extractor fan and utilised it as their changing room. ZILVER look to take a very futuristic approach with their upcycling, with the aesthetics of the store looking to reflect this also as the brand incorporates all-glass walls, neon lights, and a silver colour scheme.
The launch of their SS22 collection, titled ‘VIRGO 1’, does not follow the standard fashion calendar and instead opts to present an array of seasonal clothes alongside flagship exclusives. The range takes inspiration from everything from astronaut costumes to Walter de Maria’s “The Earth Room.” ZILVER again focuses on sustainability with their materials, using PETA-approved vegan leather, responsible wool, and recycled polyester for their garments.
