The highly-decorated designer joins Kanye's YEEZY.
After past stints at Gucci, Louis Vuitton, UNIQLO, and most notably Nike ACG, Nur Abbas has been recruited by Kanye West as the new head of design for YEEZY.
As per an official announcement, it was detailed that Abbas would be reporting directly to Kanye in all creative decisions taken under his new role, with some known public projects that the new head of design will be undertaking include YEEZY Gap, YEEZY, and the divisive Stem Player.
Having been with Nike ACG for the past five years, Abbas has similar experience in a rival company, making this addition to the YEEZY team a potentially important one. In a statement made by YEEZY, the company stated that Abbas “will work to further expand the Yeezy empire, working directly with Ye to direct and launch special projects for the Yeezy brand.”
