Part of their Spring/Summer 2022 collection, Holzweiler is releasing its first genderless eyewear collection.

Having been advised by the iconic optician institution Krogh Optikk in Oslo, Holzweiler looked deep into their 145-year-old archive of glasses and produced seven timeless styles: the Bo, Frej, Elise, Alexandra, Lieben, Asta and Georg silhouettes. This set of eyewear is made in Japan with a mix of high-end materials, such as Mazzucchelli Acetate and Japanese Acetate, whilst also coming in various colours. These include tortoiseshell, butter transparent, black, and yellow marble, with Holzweiler giving consumers the chance to change lens colours to their personal preference, with clear, black, brown, butter transparent and one gradient version up for grabs.

In a statement about the collection, Maria Skappel Holzweiler- the Creative Director of the brand- said this:

“I am always very fascinated by people, who just do one thing, but then do it seriously well. Like the Krogh family, who has been doing eyewear forever. So, I was very honoured and happy that the design team and I was able to dive into, not only the archive, but also the knowledge of generations of specialists.”

The Holzweiler SS22′ eyewear range is available to purchase now via the Holzweiler website.
