The latest collaborative release as a part of their “Graduate Project”, MACHINE-A joins forces with positive knitwear designer Olivia Rubens for the launch of the Photosynthesize Collection.
An offering that “transforms garments into living organisms,” the release sees Rubens build on her playful, humorous study of human nature while offering up apparel that will leave a positive impact on both the planet and the people that wear her designs. Working with MACHINE-A, the designer builds on her developments in bio-design, using waste and salvaged objects to create a collection that finds beauty in the mundane while also giving off oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide.
