Up-and-coming brand Ahluwalia has come together with British fashion icon Paul Smith and his new mentorship programme, &PaulSmith, for a new eleven-piece clothing capsule.
After connecting through fashion in recent times, Paul Smith and Priya Ahluwalia have teamed up for a collection that utilises an array of inspirations, from Ahluwalia’s archive of photographs taken in India and Nigeria, to Smith’s adoration of vintage sportswear. Looking to the work of graphic designer Ikko Tanaka and artist Ernesto Cánovas for inspiration as well, the collection additionally incorporates distinct parts of both Ahluwalia’s and Smith’s work, from the prior’s use of panelling to Smith’s iconic use of check fabric.
Some central standouts from the eleven-piece collection include a multi-patterned Camper shirt with graphic image designs, a two-piece teal tracksuit with Paul Smith’s iconic check designs, as well as a variety of other graphic knitted pieces.
The &PaulSmith x Ahluwalia range is available now via both the Paul Smith and Ahluwalia web stores.
