After months of leaked imagery and unofficial rumours, Balenciaga and adidas have finally unveiled their range of collaborative pieces, which includes classic sneaker silhouettes, iconic adidas garments, and more.
Unveiling the range at their first-ever New York runway show yesterday, Balenciaga provided the first glimpse at their adidas collaboration alongside the unveiling of their Spring 2023 collection. Looking to bridge the gap between luxury and sportswear, the Balenciaga x adidas collection features a wide array of ready-to-wear pieces that encapsulate the creative director of Balenciaga Demna Gvasalia‘s outlook, with everything from Balenciaga Triple S sneakers to soccer jerseys being on offer.
Taking place on the trading floor of New York City’s Wall Street, Balenciaga’s latest show provided a glimpse at every piece from the soon-to-be-released collection, with some central standouts including the adidas Triple S Sneaker in two black/white and bright blue colourways, a black leather hooded blouson, as well as an oversized washed black hoodie. Each of the pieces features collaborative branding that combines the iconic three stripes adidas emblem with Balenciaga, placing the luxury brand name underneath the adidas logo in the sports brand’s typeface. Other notable pieces include a puffer jacket, soccer jerseys, hoodies, tracksuits, t-shirts, pants, shorts, and jeans.
