sacai double down.
Chitose Abe’s sacai have returned for the Spring/Summer 2023 season and have unveiled a wide array of new designs, ones that incorporate distinct brand signatures as well as new innovative looks.
Debuting at Paris Fashion Week, the collection has many talking points as Abe opts for a relaxed and informal approach to a host of classic clothing silhouettes, with the collection placing a focus on flowing shapes in smart-casual wear. The collection additionally utilises a genderless approach by incorporating skirting into the mix, with the lookbook unveiling several iterations of pleated skirts, including black and beige versions. sacai also looks to American artist Eric Haze once again for this collection, utilising his “One Kind Word” and “As One” markings for a selection of pieces.
Some standout pieces from the offering include a khaki ‘One of a Kind’ knitted cardigan jacket, an oversized heavy knit jumper in green, as well as a pleated beige blazer with funnelled sleeves. Lastly, the lookbook also teased a potential collaboration with classic shoe brand Clarks, seeing the infamous Wallabee silhouette receive a distinctly sacai makeover through a new built-up, layered sole.
