Stone Island's experimental venture.
Debuting at Milan Design Week, Stone Island have unveiled their collaborative venture with Kevlar, which continues the brand’s experimental Prototype Research_Series.
Teaming up with Kevlar’s research and development team, Stone Island have unveiled the sixth instalment of their Prototype Research_Series, which has historically been a collection of limited-edition pieces that boast experimental treatments and compositions. Continuing down their path of practicality and utilitarian design, one that has been prominent in their SS22′ campaigns, Stone Island have incorporated Kevlar yarn into a light purple shell jacket, which is a material that boasts distinct durability as well as a PFC-free and water repellent finish. In typical Stone Island fashion, the broken down fabric has been redesigned to expose its inner yellow hue, one that is a customary tone of the brand.
Stone Island and Kevlar’s Prototype Research_Series 06 is available to view at the Milan Design Week from June 7th to June 12th. No release date for these pieces has been unveiled so far, but stay tuned to PAUSE for more information.
