Gucci Unveil Online-Exclusive ‘Lovelight’ Collection

Luxury fashion house Gucci has stepped out with a new online-exclusive collection, titled ‘Lovelight’, which is donned “an expression of adoration” by the Italian fashion giants.

Gucci’s latest campaign comes off the back of their various high-profile collaborations with the likes of adidas and The North Face, and now the Italian fashion house is back with their latest campaign, portraying “a group of friends in a carousel of quotidian moments”, putting forward a constructed storyline about adoration and the inevitability of attraction. The campaign video’s narrative sees “a series of glances” which sees “the gazes of two of the protagonists continue to meet”, with the repeated encounters proving inevitable and whimsical. Gucci shows off its ability to utilise loud retro prints for their benefit, putting new twists on classic silhouettes, colour schemes, and prints, stating that the range “expands on the exploration of geometric codes from past collections — diamond-shaped patches of leather are stitched together to create a colourful design recalling one of the house’s emblematic symbols.”

The curated selection of pieces includes zip-up hoodies, crewneck jumpers, knitwear, tapered shorts, bags, t-shirts, outerwear, and more, with some central standouts including a royal blue embroidered floral Gucci sweatshirt, draping brown suit trousers with pleats, Chambray denim shorts with a love heart and cloud Gucci graphic, as well as a light blue graphic print camp collar shirt with longline shaping.
