PAUSE Picks: Top Sneaker Releases of the Week

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low "Reverse Mocha"

There was only one way to kick this week off, and it’s started with a bang. The long-awaited Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mocha” sneakers finally released to the public this week, with the pair extending Travis’ long and successful run with Nike and Jordan. This pair in-particular boast another earth-tone colour palette, with white and faded brown suede and leather materials dominating the upper, with the midsoles, laces, and Nike emblem arriving in an aged cream colour. Hits of red adorn the Cactus Jack branding on the heel and tongue, with a matching brown sole and sock lining completing the shoe. If you fancy this pair, get ready to pay big bucks in the coming weeks; they’re only going to rise in value.

Human Made x adidas ADIMATIC HM

Nike’s arch-rivals hit back with another collaboration of their own, teaming up with Nigo’s Human Made for a selection of new ADIMATIC sneakers. The standout colourway from the range is this tonal ‘Green’ pair, which boasts a chunky skater-inspired design that makes this pair adaptable to everyday lifestyle and skating wear. The silhouette utilises an aged midsole, rich suede upper materials in brown, green, and cream, oversized thickened laces, as well as signature Human Made branding on the tongue label. Merging into autumn, this is a pair that will stand up come September time.

JJJJound x Reebok NPC II

Putting the emphasis on basic, JJJJound have returned with their customary minimalist style and run with it, encapsulating the ‘NPC’ internet trend with Reebok’s own NPC model. The pair rock Reebok’s low-lying silhouette with JJJJound’s signature branding, which arrives on the midfoot in embossed gold lettering. The all-white pair feature aged features on the midsole, sock lining, and tongue areas, with the interesting part about this release being that each pair are individual in their composition, with each individual pair being made with very slight differences so that no two pairs are the same. If you want something for every occasion, these sneakers are just the ticket.

Donald Glover x New Balance RC30

Back for a second week in a row is New Balance’s RC30 sneaker, with this new silhouette coming in hot with yet another vibrant colourway. Lending his ever creative hand to the design process, musician, actor, and producer Donald Glover lets this pair’s colourway do the majority of the talking, refusing to plaster his name all over the sneaker. The rich mustard yellow pair utilises a mixture of materials for the upper, including a fluffy suede which adorns the heel, toe box, and lacing area of the shoe. A gum sole creeps into the midsole, adding extra texture, whilst a crisp white adorns the New Balance insignia, laces, and sock lining.

Foot Locker x Nike TN 'Brixton'

Finishing off the week’s line-up are Nike yet again who have joined forces with Foot Locker for an exclusive TN design dedicated to the multicultural background of London’s Brixton. The bold pair boast a graffiti-style sneaker design that pays homage to Brixton’s rich culture, including its iconic murals and street art, with this being overlaid with shades of orange, yellow, green, and blue, as well as accents of black. This pair keep TN’s infamous air unit in the midsole, with a red Nike emblem and signature TN branding on the heel completing the pair. This pair are available now at Foot Locker Brixton, with an online release arriving next week. This is another soon-to-be TN summer classic.
