Heritage workwear brand Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Japanese creative Kunichi Nomura for the Autumn/Winter 2022 season, putting together a mini capsule collection.
Having most recently joined forces with Toogood and Small Talk Studio, Carhartt WIP is back again with yet another collaboration as they tap Japanese polymath Kunichi Nomura for a two-piece capsule collection. Arriving in three separate colourways, the two-piece co-ords “draw from recognizable Carhartt WIP silhouettes and combine them with a refined, tailored edge” and are described by Nomura as “Yin and yang. Night and day. S&M. Work and play.” The pieces arrive in ‘Black’, ‘Blue’ and ‘Flour’ colourways, with the co-ords consisting of a Kunichi Michigan Blazer as well as a Kunichi Chino Pant. In a statement about the release, Kunichi Nomura commented:
“My aim when making this jacket and pant was [thinking], how I can work then play within a day, within an hour, without changing my outfit.”
