Loewe Brings their Tactile Surrealism to Harrods’ New Pop-Up

By September 14, 2022Fashion News

The pop-up will be open until 30th September

Securing a window display at the elusive Harrods in the heart of Knightsbridge, Loewe celebrates the theme of tactile surrealism explored in their Autumn/Winter 2022 collection with a giant installation of a pumpkin sculpture made by London-based artist Anthea Hamilton.

The exhibition space also shows off key pieces from the collection such as the Amazona, Flamenco and Puzzle bags in a plethora of colours alongside leather goods and other accessories displayed on organic-shaped counters and podiums made out of brass, paper and felt. The leather identity the Spanish luxury house is known for carries onto the matching pyjama sets from the ready-to-wear edit that come in a new satin Nappa leather.

The ever-so-popular inflated motif, popularised by the sunglasses, takes the spotlight for the installation’s second phase with a collection of puffed-up bags in the form of the new Flamenco, Goya and Hobo Puzzle. The house’s anagram logo is also given the inflated treatment along with the script logo and is spread out throughout the walls of the space. Tactile shearling is added to the Flamenco and square basket bags whilst the Bracelet pouch is given a new array of colourways, the gold one being exclusive to the Harrods pop-up.
