Using the design language explored in their last collaboration from AW21’s CG Scuba Phormar, Craig Green and Adidas Originals are back with another collaboration a year later, this time with the CG Scuba Stan. The campaign is shot by Dan Tobin Smith who uses the sneaker and sculptural forms to emphasise the interplay between materials and contours, creating an artistic dialogue.
This time around, they have used combined the Scuba outsole designed by the collaborative duo with the iconic Stan Smith upper to create a Frankenstein sneaker that offers many interesting details and panelling. Amongst those details is the wraparound tension cord that connects the upper to the sole, which has become a signature in Craig Green’s work in recent years.
