Balenciaga's Mushroom Madness
Using the vegetative body of a mushroom to create a one-of-a-kind material, this Maxi Hooded Wrap Coat by Balenciaga marks the first time Ephea has been used in fashion at this scale.
As a sustainable option to leathers and synthetics in order to reduce the brand’s carbon footprint, this all-black coat is cut oversized to accentuate exaggerated proportions. The finish on this material also resembles that of a hide-based material and features a furry inside and an oversized hood to match.
