His first venture into design.
ASAP Rocky has been staying quiet recently and you can’t blame him – he’s just had his first child with his superstar partner Rihanna. But it seems like he’s making his way back into the limelight, having just unveiled his collaboration with Need For Speed and showcasing his design debut at Miami Art Week with his new homeware line titled Hommemade. The first piece to release from his new label is the collaborative ‘Shroom Cactus’ with Gufram, a rendition of the Italian design studio’s iconic ‘Cactus’ originally designed by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello in 1972.
The ‘Shroom Cactus’ is a four-foot-tall green cactus that, for the most part, stays faithful to the original design with the exception of the colourful mushrooms added to the bottom of the fixture. “This is the first collaboration from my Hommemade decor studio and since I’ve always advocated for mushrooms, it was only right that we made a cactus with them,” said ASAP Rocky.
